How do I recover the SN3101 serial device by resetting it back to the factory default settings?

| Solution : |
|
To reset the SN3101 use the RESET switch, by pressing and holding the button for more than three seconds.
Note: Pressing the button for less than three seconds will only perform a system reset.
If you forget the password to the SN3101, do the following:
1.Power off the SN3101 and remove the housing.
2.User a jumper cap to short the jumper labeled J4.
3.Power on the switch.
4.When the Link and 10/100Mbps LEDs flash, power off the switch.
5.Remove the jumper cap from J4.
6.Secure the housing and power on the SN3101.
Now you can use the factory default Username and Password to log in.
