| Usually there are 2 possibilities to cause the issue: 1. There is attenuation, while the digital video signal is transmitting, because of cable quality or long distance transmission. We use the below eye pattern to explain. The pattern at the left hand side is the normal eye pattern. It’s clean and clear. But after the signal is transmitted through long distance, the eye couldn’t be saw clearly. The picture at the right hand side represents the attenuation of the video signal.
This situation could be solved by using EQ(Equalizer) to regenerate and do the video compensation, in order to fit the voltage level of the signal at receiver side. Please try to adjust EQ(Equalizer) to different level to see if it could solve the issue. Please confirm with each level to check. Below are the recommended EQ with different resolutions and different cable length:
2. Because the performance of Singal integrity of digital signal isn't good enough, the Jitter appears. We use the below eye pattern to explain. The pattern at the left hand side is the normal eye pattern. The middle of the eye pattern is clear. But after connecting with devices, the eye pattern will be like the pattern on the right hand side. The range of the two sides of the eye becomes small. It means the Jitter happens.
To improve the Signal integrity, we could use the way of Jitter Clean.
Aten VB800 has Jitter Clean function. So if the issue couldn’t solved by adjusting the EQ, we advice you could add a VB800 before the transmitter or after the receiver. For Example:
