Subject :
CC2000 Redundant Mechanism
Description :
Will I be able to access all KVM devices from the CC2000 Secondary Server(s) if the CC2000 Primary server crashes?
Solution :
The first CC2000 Secondary registered on the CC2000 Primary server will take over the role of CC2000 Primary automatically if the CC2000 Primary crashes.
Also remember to do the following:
Under Device Management, for each device on the segment, specify the IP address of the preferred and alternate CC2000 on the device's ANMS setting page.
When a device fails to connect to the preferred CC2000 server (due to network failure, CC2000 failure, etc.) the device will connect to the alternate CC2000 specified for the device. Once it connects to the alternate CC2000, the device will thereafter seek the alternate as its first connection choice.
The alternate remains the first choice until such a time as the device cannot connect with it, and then looks to connect with the original preferred server.
