Subject :
CS1734B can't support Mac mini(release in the mid of 2011)
Description :
One of my Customer use the Apple original mini Display to VGA adapter to connect CS1734B and MAC mini ( release in the mid of 2011 which support the new Thunderbolt I/O) , when Mac mini power on, monitor doesn't have a display, how can I solve this issue?
Solution :
This is a compatibility issue between CS1734B and Mac mini that support the new Thunderbolt I/O, firmware can't solve this issue, need to change the ASIC.
here is an alternative Solution
1. Suggest customer don't use the Apple original mini Display to VGA adapter, for use the ATEN mini Display to VGA adapter VC920.
PS:If we use VC920 to connect the CS1734B and Mac mini the max resolution is 1280x1024, and can't see the booting process of Mac mini.
2.Suggest customer use other KVM s witch doesn't use the ASIC:8021
