	CS1308 - Firmware Consistency

Description :
	For extending our KVM ports, we decide to apply a two level installation to our CS1316 KVM switch, with a new CS1308 switch cascaded to the CS1316 via 2L-5202U cable. However, the secondary CS1308 switch in the second level doesn’t show up in primary CS1316’s OSD. We noticed that the firmware versions of the primary and secondary switches are different. Is the firmware causing this issue?

Solution :
	Yes. From firmware version 1.2.111 and on, we improved the cascade function. We suggest that you to upgrade the CS1316/CS1308 KVM switch’s firmware to V1.2.111 or higher. After firmware version has been updated, follow the normal booting sequence as explained below: The Power On sequence requires that all secondary units be powered on first. After all secondary units are powered on, the primary unit is to be powered. Only after all switches have been powered on in this sequence, can the computers be powered on.
