	Do I need an active or passive adapter?

Solution :
	If the source supports dual-mode DisplayPort (DP++), then you can use a passive adapter such as the VC965 or VC985 because the source provides the necessary conversion If the source does not support dual-mode DisplayPort (DP++), you will need an Active Adapter such as the VC981, or VC986 to provide the signal conversion from DP to HDMI successfully.
