My ATEN device's warranty is already expired, do you recommend upgrading its firmware to latest version?
 
Solution : 
There is always risk when updating firmware, please refer to below for our policy: 
1. For a product that is still in warranty and failed after firmware upgrade:  
ATEN will repair the unit for free.

2. For a product that is already out of warranty and failed after firmware upgrade.
A: If the product was EOL(End-of-Life):  
ATEN may not able to repair the product since there is no service parts available. 
B. If the product was not EOL:  
ATEN can repair the unit with repair charge.
