	Yes! This kind of devices need to use a software to control through a PC's COM port. Basically, SN0108 has the software-- "Real COM Port" which can let the SN0108's port to pretend a PC's com port. So, when you set SN0108 as a virtual COM port for your PC, your serial device can work well even you use its own software.
