I have been told the CE620 and CE624 provide a special function for extending their distance, how do I enable it? 

The special function is called long reach mode, and in order to run this feature, please adjust the DIP switch to the "ON" position on either local or remote unit before using it.

Long reach mode can extend the distance up to 150M.
