The default reaction of pressing front panel buttons 1 and 2
activates Auto Scan mode

Can I change the Pushbutton reaction to trigger other hotkey
options?

Yes - to reprogram the Pushbutton hotkey sequence, use the
hotkey [C] or [C] +[2]. 

Here’s how.

1. Use [Num. Lock] + [-] or [Ctrl] + [F12] to invoke HSM.

 a. CS1642A: buttons 1 and 2  Press [C] .

 b. CS1644A: buttons 3 and 4  Press [C] + [2] 

2. Then press the hotkey you want to set.  For example, pressing [F4] will set the
action

    to print out the KVM’s settings in a
text editor or write program.

4. After setting a hotkey, the VM will exit the HSM.
