Subject :
VE803 EDID mode
Description :
What is VE803 EDID bypass mode?
Solution :
EDID is information passed from the display unit to the video source describing its parameters,
allowing the source to automatically transmit video at the display’s optimum resolution and refresh rate
The VE803 employs a generic EDID mode to simplify installation.
Bypass mode allows the display’s actual EDID information to pass back to the source; this is used in cases where the display is something other than 1080 or 720.
To use EDID by-pass mode both CAT5 connections must be used and the slide switch on the VE803T set to bypass
