If "Load EDID from File" sets the wrong resolution it will not harm your monitor.
Indications of incorrect EDID settings include some or all of the following:
No video, blinking, shifted, over sized, or fuzzy images
Unless you understand the EDID protocol and have a compelling reason to use the EDID wizard
we strongly recommend using either “ATEN Default EDID”, or “Retrieve EDID from Display”
