Description :
	I have an RS-232 to RS-422 / RS-485 bidirectional converter and wasn't sure if software is required to utilize this device. The device is currently used to program a message banner with various messages / communications. Do I need a sotfware ?

Solution :
	IC485AI is nomal RS485/422 to RS232 converter . If you use it in point to point (1 to 1) and it doesn't need software for it.
