I try to use 169.254.0.10 as the IP address of the PC installed CCKM.

I try to use the url to login CCKM, but I couldn't link to CCKM login page.

But if I use 192.168.0.10, I could link to CCKM login page and login.

Is there any restriction of using the IP address range 169.254.X.X ?

Actually the range of 169.254.0.0/16 (169.254.0.0 through 169.254.255.255) is the automatic private IP addressing (APIPA) or auto-IP.

This range of IP addresses are identified as limited used IP addresses.

ATEN block the range of IP address when designing software to prevent some unknown problem based on our experience.

It means you couldn't use this range of IP addresses to the PC/server you install CC2000, CCKM, CCVSR, and Eco DC.
