	단일 모드 LC 섬유는 약 1400nm (적외선)의 파장을 가지지 만 전형적인 사람의 눈은 약 390 ~ 700nm의 파장에 반응합니다. 다시 말해, 섬유에서 나오는 빛은 사람의 눈에는 보이지 않습니다. 광섬유를 테스트하려면 특정 도구 호출 VFL (Visual Fault Locator)이 필요합니다.
